So it's been seven months since I've already made my last blog, I decided to make my return to blogging during the pandemic. I don't how to tell you this but I miss so much on typing everything about on what I am sharing to my audience.

Since it's a lockdown due to the 2020 Coronavirus cases worldwide, everyone is having mixed feelings or emotions during times like this. People started to have more enjoyment and feeling all positive by engaging more fun at home with loved ones. Other people started to feel the negative side of things. Some people missed their families when they're abroad, or staying trapped in other countries during their weekly holiday, and some missed their families due to being Covid Positive. Most others also share their negativity of the pandemic because they miss hanging with society. Interaction with other people, as well as with friends and other family relatives, is essential to society. But since there are numerous confirmed cases, the government has ended all social interactions until a vaccine is found.

There is a possibility that some number of people are struggling so much to cope with their depression and having this so-called 'cabin-fever' during the lockdown. For me, I've going a lot of depression days after the announcement of the Covid19 lockdown in Ireland. I've been going through a lot stuff of struggles to keep myself positive. I've been missing so much on coming to college every weekday mornings, the gym and hanging out with friends during the happier times. I even worry so much of my friends and family, including the world. It's like we're living in a dark times where everything is infected as a horror or shock to the world. But we can still manage on how to beat against the negativity of ourselves. In some point, we all have to go and find an alternative way to stay positive and keeping ourselves active. I did try a few things and here's what I've done so far, and I'm sure it will help you:

1. Enjoying life at home/Putting yourself together

So eventually people do enjoy hanging around at home most of the times. Just remember, there's life revolving you around when you're at home. For me, enjoyed so many things to do when I'm home during the pandemic. I usually go to my laptop and start doing work from college, as it is almost my final semester before moving to third year, and having it done before the said submission date. Doing so I'm connected with my college professors and lecturers along with my classmates in terms of discussing the project I've been working through. College work keeps me active. Also, it keeps me on track to getting all my work done and completed before handing it digitally as a digital portfolio. Aside from doing all my work, I even go onto social media (Instagram most of all) and start seeing all of my notifications, messages and other that relates to my content. Drawing, reading and doing other things around the house keeps me busy to pass the time.

2. Watching Online Streaming Services/Films or TV Series

Watching all online streaming services can pass the time of enjoyment during the pandemic. If you're tried of doing all work, or even your work is finished, you'll have the time to enjoy watching your favourite movies or TV series. People have an access to Netflix and Disney Plus. There are a lot of movies and TV series that are the latest or previously watched, so there's always a way to enjoy watching them. Movie series can pass my time of enjoyment as I always watched them in order. For example, I enjoy watching all film series like Star Wars, Harry Potter and others that have a series. What I did is that I watched it from the very beginning till the end. You don't to watch it all in one day, as you have the time to finish watching it until the end.

3. Playing video games

Video games is another example on keeping ourselves positive during the pandemic. Most people have access to their favourite video game on PlayStation or Xbox. Most video games have connection with other players to play with online. It would be a great thing to play the video game with someone abroad. No access to PlayStation? That's fine... because you can play games on your phone too. If you have phones from Apple or Android you can download them and enjoy them. Most video games can be addicting or affecting your time, but since this is the pandemic, you can spend most of your time wisely to play.

4. Staying actively healthy and fit

We all understand that the gyms are closed, and people started to feel a little depressed. People can be a little bit addicted in going to the gym. There is a good reason to why as such - to stay healthy and fit. But there is always an alternative way aside from going to the gym. You can do your workout routine at home or outside. You have as much equipment you can use for your exercise. If you don't have much equipment then you think different ways on doing your workout creatively. That's the one thing I've done. I used one end of my living room couch to perform all squatting exercises, including my leg and glutes workout. If you guys are into cardio, then I suggest going outside for a run is essential. I understand that there is a 2 km limit according to the restrictions, but I have done a 5 to 10 km run. Here's how I do it: I always go to a park which is less than 1 km away from my home. I run around the park to beat 5 km then passing to 10 km. It's a good way to train yourself along with your stamina, speed and heart beat/rate. Good enough for you to sweat!

5. Contacting friends and family on social media

Last and important thing: being in contact with your friends and family. It can be a struggle or a little depressing of not seeing friends and family when you're apart from each other. The best way to be connected with them is either audio call or video call on social media. The video call to use from your social media can be Facebook Messenger, Skype, WhatsApp and other apps. But if you want to get in touch with a number of friends or families then use Zoom or Houseparty. If you still have their phone number then you can FaceTime with time (just to let you know you can FaceTime with a number of people according to IOS 12... so make sure you can update your iPhone). If you have some of your friends or family/family relative you are closed to, then make sure to give them a call just to see how they are coping with their struggles and talk more on a different subject matter. For me, I've been connected with my dad, who is still in the Philippines right now, all the time by messaging and calls. It's a way on how I show so much that I have missed him and wanting to be together with him. I even get in touch with some friends from college, from my photo shoots and others during my previous social outing.

I hope all my tips helps you guys to beat down your negativity and staying positive. Keep yourself always active and always enjoy your life under quarantine. I hope the Coronavirus pandemic will teach us on how to be better and kind to everyone in the world. If you guys have any other tips I forgot or didn't mention you can go ahead and share it out of kindness. We are doing this because we always care and showing our kindness to one another. Our positive feeling will always prevail, as we engage our enjoyment and care so much for our loved ones.

Stay safe... Stay positive... Stay healthy... Stay happy... because everything is going to be alright and we will all reunite at the end!

Sincerely

Jedd Cabreza
