Chocolate Brownie with Crushed Walnuts

Chocolate along with nuts like walnuts are both the greatest combination of pure tastiness with such delight and pleasure. The best way to have them both together is of course baking delicious brownies.



This was my first culinary/baking skills while I'm under quarantined. I thought for myself that it was hard. It turns out... it wasn't. I've always checked on recipe articles and reviews online.



However, I didn't start making brownies with the actual ingredients. It really takes time to do it. I bought an organic brownie mix from Superfood Bakery from Tesco. Using brownie mix is more useful and saves a lot of time to have it ready for baking and eating. Everything in it has all organic ingredients and definitely gluten-free. Of course, this brownie mix requires two or three ingredients and preparations. What I love about making these delicious brownies is adding a plus one topping including other tastiness such as ice-cream, sliced strawberries and many more you can put.



I find it better to use the actual whisky more than the electric whisk. But if you prefer to use the electric whisk then that's fine. The only reason why I used it is because it stirs the overall ingredients nicely until it's all "fudge-y" and nice for baking.



Usually I prepare my oven to heat for around five minutes for my baked brownie to cook nicely. It will always be nice, cool and hot for cooking.



Once my brownie is already baked and almost ready for tasting, I decided to cool off for minutes until my brownies are warm enough for eating. While waiting, I even prepared on how to make some chocolate frosting. It's an easy way to make while waiting. It's way more nice to eat brownies with some nice chocolate frosting on top, including some added walnuts.



Also note, once you've finished and smeared the frosting on top of the brownie, the best thing is to leave it and cool off for another minute once it's ready.




Chocolate Brownie Preparation

What do you need

Stainless Bowl

Whisk (electric or handheld)

Glass Bowl

Baking paper

Baking pan


Ingredients

1 Superfood Bakery Brownie Mix Bag

1/2 cups of water

75g of melted butter/vegetable oil


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees. Prepare a glass baking pan with baking paper.

2. Prepare a small saucepan and melt 75g of butter for a minute. Once it's melted and ready, get a glass bowl as your pour both 1/2 cups of water and the melted butter. Stir them together using a whisk.

3. With a large stainless bowl, pour the wet mixture and the brownie mix together. Start whisking them together.

4. Once you've finished, pour the mixture onto the prepared baking tray and leave it on the preheated oven.

5. Time estimate for the brownie to be baked and ready will take around 14 - 16 minutes.

6. Once it's ready and finished, leave the tray to cool off for a while and start preparing on making some frosting for your brownies.



Chocolate Frosting Preparations

What do you need:

Glass Bowl

Whisk

Saucepan


Ingredients:

2 tablespoons of Cocoa

3 tablespoons of butter

1 1/2 cups of sugar

2 tablespoons of milk

1 teaspoon of vanilla

Crushed walnuts


Instructions

1. Melt the butter using a small saucepan.

2. On a glass bowl, pour the cocoa and the melted butter together.

3. Pour the sugar, milk and vanilla together and start mixing them together until it goes smooth.

4. Once it's mixed and ready, start spreading it and smearing on top of the ready brownie.

5. Leave it for another minute to cool for a while.

6. If you have bag of walnuts that is a little bit crushed then you can start start crushing it into little pieces, or you can cut then using a cutting board and knife.

7. Once you've finished, start sprinkling the crushed walnuts on top of the brownies with the frosting. Cut them into pieces you want.



Review

Using the brownie mix from Superfood Bakery is much more easy to start with as it has all the organic ingredients. But despite to all the reviews both positive and negative, I find that this brownie recipe to be more tasty. But to some others who checked other recipes on how to bake a brownie, that's fine... at least anyone knows how to prepare this kind of thing. When I give it a try once it's finished, the taste was with immense delight and love for it. It's more of a 'heavenly' taste of pure chocolate with nuts. Even my family loved the taste of it. It's more nice to have frosting on top of the brownie to make it even more chocolate-y and with unique taste. However, the next time baking such a brownie like this, it's more nice to add something with it like ice cream or with fruits. This will add up the taste to be even more tasty. Of course, never neglect the nuts!



Baking so much brownies during the pandemic has never been this fun! It pass the time to have new skills on preparing something sweet and delicious during the summer. I'm sure I'll have more time to start preparing something more delicious. Hope I'll share this to my future children or future grand kids very soon.
